A bit of a tidy-up

Spent this evening doing some housekeeping on this site. Nothing big on its own - but together it feels a lot more finished.

New names

• Articles is now Blog. “Articles” always felt a bit formal for what’s mostly quick notes. “Blog” is what everyone calls it anyway.
• Playground is now Projects. Same idea - just a clearer name for what’s actually in there.

If you had any old links saved, don’t worry - they all redirect to the new ones, so nothing should be broken.

Things you probably won’t notice (but are nice to have)

• An RSS feed. If you use a feed reader, you can now follow along at /rss.xml.
• Better share previews. Sharing a link from here now shows a proper title, description and image, instead of whatever the app decided to guess.
• A sitemap. Helps search engines find everything.
• Dates that behave. Dates were being formatted differently depending on the computer that built the site. They’re now always shown the same way.

Not the most exciting post - but sometimes the best thing you can do for a project is just tidy up after yourself.
